I'm currently in college for Business Management (it's supposed to be just Business, but of course somehow on paper it got switched to that). And I'm starting to realize it's a load of bullshit since I've ran a business before and didn't need to know half of what I'm learning. My goal in school is education to possibly open up a new business later, not some crazy job in a Big 4 company later on. I mostly just want my future business to be built on a degree foundation to add goodwill to it, and if I don't go that route to still have a good degree to fall back on. I'm thinking of switching my major to something along the lines of Economics or Finance with a little bit of physics or CS in there. Speaking raw education bang for your buck, which would be the best in my shoes? Also, how many classes do you guys take per semester? I'm currently taking 4, but I've done the math and to graduate within the traditional 4 year time frame I'll have to also take 2 summer classes every year which doesn't sound very appealing but not too bad. Can anyone that gets FAFSA in here confirm/deny if they also send a check for summer semesters, if you choose to do summer? Thanks bizninja peeps.

Edit : Marketing seems interesting too, can anyone tell me what you actually learn in Marketing classes?

Based on what you said, go for small business entrepreneurship if that is an available major or paper. Also international business or marketing. As an economics, finance and accounting major, I can say don't do any of them if you want to start your own business. Small business accounting and finance can be picked up with google and economics is practically irrelevant to a small start up (unless you want to go global).
Consider specializing your major to the business you want to start rather than taking a bland business degree.
