My name's t0xicn1nja, as you probably know... I'm 19, finishing high school, and am interested in day trading/investing. I'm more into the tech sector, don't really care about energy or agriculture. Pharmaceuticals is another sector I've recently acquired a vested interest in, due to the whole Shkreli fiasco. I live in Ontario Canada, in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area (GTHA) and I'm planning on attending university but have no clue what I'm going to be studying. I'm interested in Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science as well as Risk Analysis/Risk Management.
I currently don't have a portfolio, so I'm just practising with the Investopedia Simulator and am averaging around $250 a day based on a few quick stocks I researched, but I'm planning on being more active with the Simulator, so I should be making more than $250, probably around $500-$750 on average, sometimes more.
I'm working and saving and up right now and building up my net worth, and in the next 4-5 years (during University) I'll have a net worth around $100k-$150k. (Car+savings, no house, living with parents).
I've wanted to work in Finance, since forever, my first business success was in the third grade, when I got a pack of 150 Pokemon cards for my birthday. The next day my friends showed interest, and I sold one of them 75 cards for $50. The other friend wanted them the next day. The cards only costed $35, so I had already made my cost and broke even with $15 in profits. My mom found out, and she took me to school the next day and returned the money to the first kid, and she forgot to get my cards back, so I lost 75 cards and $50, and I couldn't do the other deal because my Mom forbid it. So that's my first biz experience I guess, pretty shitty one, am I right?
Im looking forward to learning mostly, and I'm extremely active, so I'll likely be conversing a lot with you guys, it might even get annoying, but I like to talk a lot haha. Can't wait to discuss some investments and learn new ways to make some of this evil thing called money!
