Figured, why not give back to the community while it's still early. I would make this all colorful and pretty like the ebay guide but I'm not with all that, so if staff wants to edit this to make it look pretty be my guest.
1) Think up a GOOD niche name
2) Head on over to Bigcartel.com and pick whatever name you want, don't focus too much on it since it won't be the actual domain you send people too but it'll still matter for SEO purposes
3) Head on over to GoDaddy.com and pick a good domain name
4) I'm not going to explain it because there's several guides already on it, but link them together so people who type in your GoDaddy URL will be sent to your .bigcartel URL but at the top it still shows your GoDaddy URL
5) Pick how to receive your payments, some people use paypal some people use the other option name on it I can't quite remember that just drops it in your bank. Word to the wise, if you're going to sell counterfit you can't do it forever. The latter will ban you, and the former will too eventually.
6) Find your supplier. I chose to dropship clothes/shoes/hats (not going to specify any deeper) from AliExpress but there's several good wholesale sites out like DHL and a few others. You don't have to dropship but it's the least $ required one and if things go south, you're in the clear since you don't have product to offload. Profit margins and overall customer satisfaction will be higher if you have the items yourself as you won't have to apologize to a customer for some foreign dude's mistake.
7) I HIGHLY recommend getting a premium theme, lean more torwards the ones that look beautiful on Mobile as most of your clients will be on their phones. Just search google for .bigcartel premium theme.
Now comes the hard part. Getting YOUR brand out there. I'll summarize a few quick ways, focusing more on which I personally used.
Twitter :
Twitter is a damn gold mine, the key is knowing HOW to use it. Once you have over 20K+ followers you can join something called a TweetDeck / Hootsuite which is where a BUNCH of twitter accounts all load their credentials up on one user login (impossible to steal an account from this, you simply authorize it). Why would you do that you ask? Because then you can retweet your spam/AD tweets with it! Doing this I can make a good tweet go viral and even an advertisement tweet get at least 50+ retweets/favorites. Keep in mind if you want to outsource, many people in these decks/suites will "advertise" for you using the same method I just described. When I was paying promoters, the standard rate was 7.50/250 favorites but the rate may have changed a little since I've been out the game. There are SEVERAL, SEVERAL decks / suites some with higher limits like 50K or 100k+, the higher you go the more money you can get out of it. Do not ask me to try to get you in one, it's a pain in the ass. Just once you get to at the very least 10K+ start messaging like-minded accounts that meet the criteria and ask if you can join theirs. If you start doing this, I highly recommend download the google chrome extension "Select All on TweetDeck" you'll see why. And if you need to unfollow, manageflitter.com is best for this. There is also a 5$ program (one payment for life) that will un-retweet all your tweets every 10 minute interval, I don't feel like checking the name right now but if someone asks for it I'll get the name for you. If you need a follow/unfollow iMacro script feel free to message me and I'll send it to you.
Facebook :
There are programs out there that automate most of what I'm going to describe, I don't advertise/solicit via Facebook so don't ask me I'm clueless. Basically the gist of this is joining a bunch of Facebook groups, some local, some not so local and having around 10+ different advertising messages and go through the loop a few times a day on over 15 groups, making sure not to use the same message on the same group every day. I wish I could elaborate on this, but I'm not that knowledged in this market.
SEO :
When adding your premium theme, stuff as many "hot" keywords into every page as you can. And there will be a setting in your admin panel to edit the description of the site. Try to make it brief but with as many keywords related to your niche as you can. That's about all I know SEO wise and it still got my store from page 6 on google to 1st result for my keyword.
AdSense :
You can always give google money to advertise for you, I've heard results vary but personally it doesn't look like the best bang for your buck. I'd much rather hire a twitter promoter as mentioned earlier since most people on Twitter were in my age niche (16-24).
